I think it depends on your mood, how much rest you got the night before and also if there are any deadlines that need to be met.

I think some days we are in a better frame of mind with fewer distractions. People get giddy about stuff too, just think about it, how productive were you the last day before the Christmas and New Year holidays? Probably not very. People are just in the wrong frame of mind for working matters sometimes.

Sometimes there is nothing to do or you are doing work that you really wanted to do. For many people they like to talk to coworkers and then work because it makes them feel united and close to the other workers and that makes them want to work. When you are watching the time and ready to go that makes work the hardest. so all days may be a little different, depending on how you and others are feeling and how where you want to be and not want to be.

It's just a drive you are taught. If you have parents whom instillied in you nothing is for free.. Then no matter what time of day it is, you will be productive.. If you had those parents whom just spoiled you with everything, then "you know".. always with your hand out, changing jobs, whining and complaining.. So to sum it all up, blame your parents for a while, then get off you butt/bum and make some changes in your life to give you that drive.
