I just bought this WONDERFUL book called "Baby Bargains". In the book it says that a normal birth cost around 7 thousand.

I'm Canadian so for me it's payed for by the government...however in the states I recently read that it's anywhere from $10-30000, all depends on how many doctors/nurses/drugs taken/time in labour/ and complications....now I only read that and I have no children so I really couldn't say...however I'm living in the states right now and so hopefully I don't end up pregnant because that's just an insane amount of money for child birth...worth it but still insane amount!

In Canada you don't pay a thing, your MCP covers the coast. I know that in the US it can coast a lot, especially if you don't have any type of insurance. Hopefully if you do have insurance the coast won't be that much, depending on the insurance plan maybe no coast at all.

For me it was a little over 8000 but I also had a c-section. Vaginal delivery cost about half that.

$15,000 w/out insurance. You can get state insurance if you don't have medical insurance. Call your local Human Services Dept. They can help. You don't want to do this without insurance. You don't have to! Good luck, God Bless.
