the closer you get to full labor, the less the baby will move. Lay on your left side and drink about 32 oz of cold water. That will help with the contractions and start the baby to moving more if it is false labor. If it doesn't help then....you are getting ready to have a baby!!! lol. The baby will get really "quiet" just before the end of pregnancy, so they can rest up for the big event.

If your not feeling your baby moving as much as it was or if the baby stops moving all together you need to be seen immediately because that could mean there is something wrong. Your baby may or may not move as much during the laboring process but you will know when the baby is moving you should be able to feel the baby move or at least when your at the hospital you should be able to hear the baby move while on the Monitor. I hope you understand what I'm saying.

Every woman is different. Having contractions won't stop your baby from moving but may calm him/her down a little bit beings they are being squeezed during the contractions. If you feel like the baby isn't moving at all then you need to contact your doctor so they can monitor you and the baby to make sure the baby isn't under any stress during labor.

The baby will move less when you are in labor. When you get to the hospital they will put you on a monitor to check how the baby is handling the stress from labor. The heart rate etc.
How exciting and Good Luck to you.

Some people say that right before you go into labor the baby might not move for a while. Like he's conserving his energy for the big event. Good Luck!!

The baby move a little less when you are getting close to going into labor. I don't think they really can move when you are having contractions. Let your doc know because this is important stuff!!

I think with all 4 of mine, the baby moved a little at the start of labor, but I couldn't tell the further into labor I got, there was so much going on!

Baby is running out of room by this point so the movement can be sporadic. Best way to be sure that everything is okay is to go to the doctor or L&D and have them listen for the heartbeat and/or do a non-stress test.

The movements slow down a lot - I know I was a bit scared at the end because he was such an active baby in utero, but all was normal. Wish you luck!

Yeah your baby is finding it harder and harder to move around as there isnt much room left in there to move around in. As your labor progresses the baby will move less and less. Good luck and congrats on new baby!!!
