Would anyone be able to tell me what 666 really means? i mean i see it mentioned in every film to do with the devil and all that "hell" crap, not to mention teeny goths writing everywhere...thanks

For 2000 years, 666 has been the symbol of the dreaded Anti-christ, who will come to rule the world before the last judgement. For many it's an unlucky number: even the European Parliament leaves seat no. 666 vacant. The number is from Revelation the last & strangest book in the Bible. But it's a wrong number! A new translation of the earliest known copy of the book of Revelation clearly shows it to be 616 not 666!

Since God created man of the 6th day....... does this mean that 6 6 6 means the father, the son & the holy spirit - taking into account the old saying that the devil's greatest trick was to make people think he did not exist - does this mean the father, the son & the holy spirit ie 666 are indeed both the devil & god.

666 means nhing at all. The number in the bible is actually 616 (do a google ;)) and was mistranslated as 666 for a long time. The theory is that revelations is actually a heavily encoded political tract of the time and the number actually refers to emperor nero.

It is a reference, to evil, in the Bible, "as the number of the beast". It is actually a countdown through all the Roman numerals (500, 100, 50, 10, 5, 1). Translated into English numerals, it is 666.

As a bit of a side comment - in numerology the letter w is represented by the number 6.
Therefore, when converting the world wide web to numbers for numerology analysis it becomes 666

It means nothing. They claim it's the mark of the beast but it's a load of rubbish. They also say there's a 777 and that's got something to do with Samson or anything to do with 7's such as pillars of wisdom.
