In Rosie's case, I think it may be an overweaning sense of justice -- justice as she see it. Since she can't really effect Trump's policies or behavior, all she can do is -- forgive, please -- try to heckle him to death.

In Trump's, I think his behavior is a product of being used to never being contradicted, and being surrounded by reverential suckups and yes men in his career and life. Anyone who disagrees with him publicly is seen as possessing "temerity" and "gall" -- not an opinion as valid as his.

Whom do you favor in the little media pitch-fit going on now? --And WHY, please.

On another note, I'd be interested to know the provenance of the Miss America Pageant. How and when did Trump "buy" it? --Did it come with the Atlantic City properties he owns? His fits are certainly bringing in the publicity. ...But publicity for him or the pageant?

I also havemisgivings about the way he seems to keep casting himself in a public role as an arbiter empowered to say "You're fired", as if all life is his TV series. He clearly relishes this role, and maybe just a little more than is healthy.

Rosie comments about every event in the world and Trump happened to be an event that day. He gave a young woman a second chance and Rosie went off on him. You think she'd agree with his decision, nobody threw her out when she came out of the closet. Rosie needs to be less bitter.

I think Rosie should have known this would ignite a firestorm, but having said that, she IS on a TV show where they are supposed to give their "views," and she is a comedian, and I can't find myself disagreeing with anything she said -- and it WAS funny. It may have been a bit meanspirited in parts, but she was up front about the fact that he irritates her on many levels. (She's nothing if she's not honest.) As for Donald, his reaction was childish and flat out mean. He didn't respond to the remarks as much as he just freaked out and attacked personally. That's different. Understanding the forum in which she made her remarks, he really could have taken the high road by calmly clarifying that it was his businesses that filed bankruptcy, not himself personally, and that, yes, while he has personally made some "mistakes" regarding his love life and marriage, etc., that doesn't remove from him the responsibility of at least attempting to be the moral compass of at least the pageant he owns (not necessarily for all 20 year olds of the world). So, he could have quietly vindicated himself but he choose to have a tantrum like a 2-year-old brat. That choice defines him, unfortunately. As for her imitation of his hair, he could have just ignored it and grinned like the Cheshire cat, happy in the knowledge that his stupid hairdo must not bother his trophy wife much. His comments about Rosie's partner Kellie (who did nothing to deserve being brought into the fray) were very uncalled for, and his attacks that suggest Rosie to be physically repulsive just took the whole banter to a new and lower level. He is a public figure and needs to grow up and learn how to accept the public criticism that is a fair part of that arena.
I believe he wants and expects to be feared. The fact that she does not fear him obviously made him come completely unglued. It's pathetic and funny ... and should be over by now.

In this case, Donald owns the pageant and Rosie was chastising him for making a decision that was his to make. Also, she claimed that he had was bankrupt twice (a lie) which can hurt his business credibility, so he has plenty of merit to go after her. Like her or not, Rosie made a comment she should have just apologized for rather than try to fight the ramifications. I'm sure Donald has better lawyers than her.

Donald is a super wonderful terrific person and I wish him all the best of luck in his future endeavors. Of course, I'm only saying that because I'm smart enough to be afraid of his lawyers.

He became super rich, married super models, and has super power overr most people. He created his own show, even has hot daughters, and owns BLOCKS in the most expensive cities in the world. LETS GO DONALD

Yes, they are both bullies. I think that Rosie is in more of a position to last out against him because of the type of show she is on. She does this with many other celebrities, sometimes its funny, sometimes it's too far, either way it gets people to watch her show.

The Donald is supposed to be a businessman, professional and courteous. In this case, he was niether. He should have come off more sercure, and rational. He just ran his mouth about her appearance basically.

They are both bullies, but it sure got them in the news, which might really be why this is going on!
