ok, things continued to esculate until the abuse was so bad, i realised they wanted me to quit, so i decieded to tough it out. sure enough one of them was being so bossy and hateful, she scolded me terribley for cleaning the cutting board and knives too much. it was during summer, and we work with chicken, and hamburger meat on the same cutting board, so i would sneak it and clean it as often as i could. during her scolding she shook both of them at me,,,,,,,,and continued to be mean to me. it excalated, and i ended up coming home in tears. however, i called our police department, and they offered to file a report. so i called the country club, and told them i wouldnt file for the abuse, and the feelings of being threatened constantly as long as she was fired. they agreed to this. she was causing other people problems too. before chirstmas i got sick. nothing i could help. upon my return i was told she is back. what should i do?

You need to talk to your supervisor. It is your supervisors responsibility to handle this situation. If he/she does nothing, then you have grounds for lawsuit - for harassment.

You can always call the police and ask to see if you can file that report. You can tell them at first you were afraid (which it sounds like) but now you feel that it is in your best interest to file this report since the women is still working at this place. Then if she does anything else you already have some ground work done for you. If all else fails you can always go to the DA's office and file harassment charges against her or a restraining order.

As for your work, you can go to your HR and tell them its hostile work environment which is defiantly is. These are approved reason (if you can prove) to quit your job and file for unemployment. If they refuse to correct the problem at all you should speak to an attorney places of work are not suppose to tolerate behavior like this.

First offense for such things usually does result in a suspension. All you can really do is wait to see if it happens again. Kinda sucks but you'd want a chance to do right too wouldn't you?

Speak with your boss and supervisor, or you could just wait it out to see if she's acting the same as she was. If she's not, keep your distance anyway.
