Ok im currently installing WoW.
I want to be a Charecter who is a veyr powerful magician.
What Race, and what class should i be?

Well, you can't really go wrong with a warlock if you want a powerful magician. They have damage over time spells and pets (one is a damage dealer, one a tank, one a crowd control type...not sure on the others). They also have fear. Oh, and one of their pets silences targets in a radius, so you'll have no fear of other spellcasters.
That said, I like Mage best. Specced frost I had a wide range of control in a fight, both when I solo and when I group.
I can't suggest a race, as each has its own strengths. Undead have an ability to remove fear-like effects once every few minutes. Trolls can go into berserk mode which speeds up casting time, and they regenerate. Gnomes seem to be the most suited for mage stats. Humans are just balanced. I am undead and do not regret my decision.

First off WoW will consume your soul.
Secondly Locks=good DPS and hard to kill
Mages=insane DPS (ie 1-2shot peeps) and low life and no armor so they die easily.
Mages also have a lot of AoE spells which are awsome for lvling up.
BTW Fire spec mage owns the lvl up...got one to 60 in less then 6 days played...bout 3 weeks of avg. play time.
but once you get to 60 you will soon realize that you need insane gear to hang with everyone in the BGs and PvP...so you will have to raid and raiding is the time sink that will drive you nuts.

Undead are great for mages, locks and priests. Plus, if you are on a PvP server, you can use your racial talent to the best of your ability. Kill an alliance member and then you can cannibalize them. They hate that :P
You also get Will of the Forsaken which kicks you out of Fear.....it's wonderful!

well..if you are rolling mage...i guess troll would work, i believe troll's racial skill (berserk?) can work with spell casting so...
undeads aren't bad either since their racial skill prevents you from being effected by fear and etc...
but...if you are just starting out, don't get your hopes up...majority of the people are rude and won't get the concept of helping others. this is really important: if you don't manage your playing time, you'll get sucked into it really bad, so just set yourself certain time frame to play in other than that...good luck, you'll need it.
