How much does it cost to mave your toon to another server?? Do lvl 60's do this when a new server is opened up in order to have free reign without the crowds? Just curious.. thanks

It is $25 but at the moment some servers are being offered free transfers.
My old guild and I rerolled on another server (I was 54 at the time) because our server was dying. When the transfers became available, we transfered our other chars to the new server.
I believe there is an option to change your name and you must change your name if someone on the server you are transferring to already has it, but my name stayed the same when I transferred.

The cost is $25 to transfer to a different server. Sometimes it will be free if certain servers start to get over-populated, but it will only be to certain set servers, and that doesn't happen to often anymore that I've noticed.
I have seen 60's do this. Sometimes they will transfer if they realize they have real life friends on different servers and switch over. I have seen whole guilds move over to new servers, and there is one guild on my server that has already stated they will transfer when the expansion comes out. Some will also transfer if they have a bad reputation on their original server.
Transfers won't have to change their name unless their is someone on that server that happens to have that name, and then obviously they would get priority since they were there first.
