No, although it would differ from person to person and job to job. Some jobs require security and clearances. Those jobs should not be talked about in a PUBLIC forum such as yahoo answers for example.

I enjoy my job and I work with people from all over the world. I'd certainly write a few lines about what my job involves.
I suppose it would give people an idea if they were looking at a career change or were just interested in what people do.
I can't imagine anyone from B&Q being interested cos I don't think they know what their job involves.
