I think this is a pointless war for America. The United States is losing this war, I don't care was Bush says, America is not winning at all. We are losing BILLIONS of dollars from this war, and more importantly MANY, MANY LIVES! America got involved in a war that 'casued so much uproar for the wrong reasons. I'm not saying that the 911 Attacks or anything like that was acceptable. I just think that flat out......America should of never gotten involved, and now we're digging ourselves a bigger hole the longer we stay there and fight.

The cause is right. It turned out to be harder maybe than our leaders thought, but I am not surprised. A world-wide conflict has already started, and we didn't start it.
The movement of Islamo-fascism is highly motivated. They are fanatical and do not shrink from discomfort, suffering or death.
We have become complacent in our comfortable, peaceful lifestyle, and we assume that everybody wants what we have. But it is not so. There are some who want us to live the way they do.
This conflict is focused in Iraq right now. The Iraqi people are struggling heroically for freedom. Don't forget the massive participation in the first free national election, in the face of terrorist threats. Al Qaeda is now active in Iraq too.
Some day we will all be thankful for the courage of the Iraqis.
If the US leaves Iraq, the Islamo-fascists will have won that battle, and attacks will begin on US soil again.
As time goes on, it will become more obvious that our freedom is at stake, and that we have to be as courageous as our enemies.

I think the war was not started for the right cause. We are there now so we should stay and finish the job because we can. In terms of warfare, there have not been many deaths in Iraq amongst the fighting groups (insurgents and coalition military). Even taking into account all of the civilian deaths, it still pales in comparison to WW2, Vietnam, the Korean War, etc...

i think it was necessary, saddam/iraq had ignored u.n. sanctions for decades and they did nothing. he killed, maimed, raped and used chemical weapons on his own ppl and ignored, once again u.n. and the global communities requests and demands he get rid of wmd's and he still made them. he got lucky though with the stupidity of the u.n. inspectors and the fact russia warned him that we were getting ready to attack so he snuck them across the syrian border. he supported bin laden with money and weapons and also offered him asylum which allowed him to plan and execute the attacks on the u.s. so yes it is a right cause, yes we should finish the job...not stop mid way like clinton did...and yes there are too many deaths but consider this...42 thousand ppl die each year just from alcohol related auto wrecks and you hear no one crying about those and those are EVERY YEAR..42 THOUSAND ! the one thing we should have done and didn't do was go into iraq stronger and hit harder then there would have been fewer deaths. and too any time you defeat another tyrant, terrorist bully in this world it is the right cause...it makes all safer.

I think the Iraq war was bungled from the start, and that includes the reasons Cheney, Rumsfeld, Bush, Tenet, Powell, et.al. gave for invading. Was Saddam "a bad man?" Yes; no question about it. Was he a "threat" to America? No more so than the Taliban, which had already proven its desire to host Al Qaeda and spread jihad to American soil.

I think the pretext for the war in Afghanistan was correct, and that war was/is damaged by the false pretext for invading Iraq.

Since, as Pres. Bush has stated, the Iraq War is a noble cause, I think he should put his daughters where his mouth is: on the frontlines!
Until that day/time, I think this war is a waste of lives and taxpayer money!
