The reason I ask this question is because I've heard people deny that female-on-male rape ever happens, and even claim that it is physically impossible for a woman to rape a man in the past.

I do not believe there is really an opinion to be had in this case. The article simply tells us that the women were tried and convicted of rape, and it is a part of our culture to send convicted rapists to jail. End of story.
If you are trying to imply that the women were framed, that they did not rape this man, or worse, that he raped them and covering his tracks, then this is horrible. But we do not know that, and apparently the court does not know (or chooses not to know) that information.
In any event, rape is wrong and the guilty, male or female, should suffer the consequences.

Well I do wonder how a guys .... could stay up if he is not wanting to have sex. Of course they could be doing something else to him which is what I guess they were doing. So yeah it would be possible for two women to rape a man. As for the guy above male teachers have been having sex with thier high school female students and you hardly hear anything about them. None the less any teacher who has sex with a student should be fired, go to jail, and have thier certification revoked regardless of thier gender.

This is not the first time men have been raped! You can find this in news papers around the world. But must of these men do not go to the police as they are ashamed.
Men can be forced to sex against their will. If they can not move and can arouse them with little effort. Its their body, if the right place are touched then they can not stop it.
So my opinion - can happen why not. Men do not have very good controll over their bodies.

Rape is rape. No person should be forced to have sex against their will. It does not matter whether the person is female or male.

Not a good story but certainly does open up people's eyes that woman can be as vicious as men.
Rape is disgusting no matter how you word it. Even when people get these ideas about using it in something that goes beyond that.

well, it's rare (or at least, underreported) but not unusual. justice prevailed -- no one should be forced to have sex against his or her will (i've never known of a man to deny wanting to have sex, but that's just me -- maybe they weren't his type).

A seven-woman; five-man Superior Court jury on Friday found Theresa S. guilty of first-degree rape and second degree assault. Theresa S., 36, was accused of torturing the 42 year old man at her east Spokane apartment from September to January. The victim was punched, chained, burned, raped, and threatened with a knife. He finally escaped and called police on January 17.
