The best post is yourself, on t-shirts on a canvas bag that is carried by you or anyone else. Community newspaper, a press release. Depending on the art they can be posted in lobbies of residential buildings, local restaurants, local barber shops, salons, laundromats, make calendars of your art for family/friends to take to work. Send self bio and art to community public access tv station, draw on the ferry boat when it's crowded and give them to on lookers people are nosy use it to your advantage, get street vendors lic. not much money, make post cards or greeting cards, local galleries, local or art schools, hospitals, art contest,
Open your mouth and ask don't be afraid. Do business with CONTRACT that will benefit you and fair to venue, whether money transferred or not. I have done it for my father who is a know artist and has a gallery in Long Island, NY. The foot work is worth it if your art is your passion not a desire. Be Blessed I hope info helps.

Try your local coffee shop (not national chains). They may appreciate not only your art, but the ability to change the scenery in their shop to keep things interesting.
