u will have to send ur file by instant messaging
if u r using windows live messenger,
open a chat session with him
on the near top of the chat screen, there's an icon showing a folder with two people next to it
that's called sharing folders
click on it
just drag and drop ur 50 mb file into it

if u r using yahoo messenger,
at the near top of the chat window, there's an icon showing a paper with a paper clip next to it
that's called share a file
click on it
then just choose the file u wish to send

7zip free open source
After installing 7zip, right click on the file to be archived,
7zip > add to archive
split to volumes, enter value in your case 10M
press ok
your file will split into 5 archives of 10M each.

On the other side the person can join the files using the same program

highly doubt you'll be able to send this. If it's PowerPoint file or word or something like that. Break down the file into several pieces, naming each section "file01" "file02" and so on.

Otherwise, you're going to have to burn this 50MB file to a CD and mail it to the recipient.

If you can't zip it, break it down into smaller pieces, re-saving each piece, if not --- burn it to a CD and ship it.

Good luck

With those limitations, the fastest way would be to copy it to a CD and mailing it. If time precludes that you need to find storage space on the internet somewhere and FTP the file there, the other person can download it. A peer to peer network is also good for that, they aren't just good for transferring illegal copywrited material you know...

Go to this website:
http://rapidshare.de/

It will let you upload files of up to 100MB, so the reciever can download it using the link you give him (it'll tell you the link when it's uploaded), and everything's hunkydory.

Your best bet is probably to just burn it to a CD and snail-mail the CD. Slow, but it'll work.
