Hey there,
Yes, it's very safe to visit Egypt! I'm Egyptian and I have American and German friends visiting me all the time! They have the time of their life! There's absolutely nothing to be scared of.
And Egypt has nothing to do with any chaos anywhere in the middle east.
There is no culture shock whatsoever! We, too, have cars, buildings, movie theatres, concerts, school, colleges, hypermarkets ........... basically everything! We do NOT live in the desert nor do we ride camels for transportation! We are well educated and most of us speak more than one language (lol I feel I'm talking about aliens here! WE have and WE do....)
Anywayz, back to the point, YES it is absoluuuutely safe. Trust me, you'll have the time of your life! :)

Egypt is a safe country. Egypt is located in the middle east and Africa. Egypt is a safe place to go and with a friend by you side you will feel even safer. There is no need to worry there is no war happening at the moment in Egypt. Culture shock it's not gonna kill you so, i wouldn't really worry about. Egyptian culture is amazing and you'll love it! God bless and i hope you have a safe journey and enjoy your time in Egypt!

Uhm No Egypt isn't that bad at all. The worst thing is the fact that guys are annoying. Here in the US, a lot of my friends do drugs now and than, drink all the time 24/7, hooking up, getting pregnant, etc. etc. Btw in the US ive been stalked, hit on all time 24/7, asked to go to guys houses, so it's not only in Egypt it happens in Italy a lot too. Oh I forgot to mention guys putting drugs in girls drinks and taking them home, and than the girls don't remember anything, rapes happen a lot I actually know someone, pedophiles, and many more. Egypt is not that bad.

Well yes it's very safe, I've been living in Egypt now for 2 years...Take for granted the following points :
-Egypt is on "Earth" in the end, so Yes it's not 100% safe, BUT safer than many other places in the world.
-Obviously, you don't have to walk in darker isolated areas alone.
-Don't deal with suspicious-looking guys in anyway, unless necessary, and don't show wealth.
-again Don't show much wealth in poor areas.
-Don't show much wealth in poor areas.
-Donnot trust anyone blindly, Whoever he is.
-Don't wear over-exposing outfits, most people there are kind of ultra conservative and wearing these clothes might not be a good idea, unless you're okay with sexual harrassments.

The above shall be followed anywhere not necessarily Egypt itself, but more applicable there. On the other hand, Egypt is VERY safe, you could go out shopping late at night, you wouldn't get mugged with a gun-man !..places like Cairo are Very crowded so people are almost everywhere and there's no chance someone could attack the other..People there are so kind and they don't hesitate offering help in the MOST dangerous situations, so you won't feel all alone. The places there are too lively about all the time and some cinemas are available at 3:00-6:00 AM..Just notice-like any place in the world- that you Don't have to count too much on the Safety meter of Egypt !...tend to moderate deeds and you're so safe, safer than most places in the world-if not the safest !

1- DONT trust any one who works in the tourism,i mean guides will tell u,, i know shop who will give u great prices,,when he says that make sure that he will take commision from tthat shop

2- when any sales man say for examlpe this is for 200 pounds this mean it`s really not more than 30 pounds and u have to negogiate abut the price

3- it`s better to werqa long clothes BUT nt obligatory

4- it will be great if u have friend with u where u go to help u,,egyptian one to prevent the sales men cheating u ,
