The only logical explanation is their intent was to drive up the cost of oil, so the domestic producers and refiners could make billions. Bring back the good old days of the oil boom. The one variable they overlooked was the idiot in the white house.Now we're mired in a two front war, big tactical no-no.Ask the Germans about that. Saddam had nothing to do with 9/11 or any other terrorist act.
Bush took him out to finish the job his father started and hopefully
get control of Iraq's oil. The "war on terror" is just a slogan used
to manipulate the public,while Osama is still running around free
and clear.Bush wouldn't dare to worry the Saudi royal family by
arresting their cousin.

If we're going to "take all of them out", then let's really take them ALL out. Maybe Bush didn't invade Iraq for oil; unfortunately, since we haven't taken much action against the countless other regimes that are at least as bad as Saddam's Iraq, people tend to be suspicious of that fact that the only terrorists we're rooting out are ones in oil-producing countries. Iraq most likely had ties with Al-qaeda, and most certainly had human rights abuses; however, there are many other countries that also have them.

We certainly are sending a lot of soldiers and civilians to death to achieve the goal. Remember that we are the invaders. So even those who like us the most---don't want us there.
