First of all, the main reason is to have a proper sewage disposal system. In olden days when there was no public sewage disposal system, toilet waste were to be buried. Physical cleanness is very important. Regarding disposal of excrement, the Bible in Deueronomy 23:12,13 admonishes.."And a private place should be at your service outside the camp, and you must go out there. And a peg should be at your service along with your implements, and it must occur that when you squat outside, you must also dig a hole with it and turn and cover your excrement."

If everybody was to just 'do' it outside, there would be outbreak of diseases and subsequent deaths. Insects, animals and water can spread deadly germs from the excrement. 3rd world countries still 'use' it outside, but the people dig holes about 12 to 20 feet deep, place a mound of dirt or cement around the hole and squart to use it. However, there are cases where people 'use' it by the river or in bushes between shrubbs. The communicable diseases prevalent in such communities are well documented.

What about the Western world? For the most part, people use the toilets. However in the country towns, people still snug into the bushes to 'use' it when they really have to......and a toilet is not nearby.

We should be neat and clean both inside and outside. Remember also that God is Holy (clean) and likewise, we should be clean. The absence of a sewage disposal system does not auger well for diseases control. When you use the toilet, it goes down the sewage system and hence you don't have to worry about outbreak of communicable diseases and other ailments.

human waste is big and messy and smellier than cow manure. the solid waste might help your lawn, but the liquid waste would burn it all up. It is tacky and indescent and just plain nasty. If every person did that, there would be nowhere to walk and we wouldn't be able to breath the air very well not to mention the swarms of flies it would attract and deseases too. GROSS!

I use the toilet because I wouldn't want my bum (or anything else for that matter) getting cold, wet or snowed on! Besides...wiping myself with something either a bug eats or lives on? No thank you!!

It may cause many diseases.

No one would definitely want to stare at it, do you?
