check if the volume on ur ipod is on
if yes, then it may be a hardware problem
use ur warranty to get ur ipod replaced or fixed

if u want to know hot to put videos on ur ipod, then open itunes
add a few videos to it by going to file> import files
once, u r done, get the settings for adding videos right (which i presume u know) and sync ur ipod

if the file format of ur ipod is not suitable, u may have to convert it to the appropriate format
u don't need a software for this
just rename the file with the extension of ur choice

a file like "aaa.xyz" needs to be converted to "abc" format
then, just rename the file as "aaa.abc"

note- this conversion does not work for ".rm" files

First you should ensure it is the correct type of file. iPod will play back Quicktime files, and several others I think, but the best is Quicktime. If your music videos are in other formats, like Realplayer or Windows Media, you might want to consider getting some media converter software to optimize your files for iTunes.

As for movies, are they on DVD? If you have a DVD drive and player software on your PC, then you can get software that will convert DVD movies to iTunes, as well.

To find the software, try a google search using the paramaters you're looking for, i.e. "DVD to iTunes converting software" or something along those lines. It probably won't be free, though....
