I once had a recharger but the batteries only lasted for half an hour after being charged. Are they any better these days?

I bought one from energyzer, that charges the batteries in 2 hours
I bought it in ASDA
The thing with rechargeable batteries its that they have to be NiMh
Probably they did not lasted that much because of the first charge, the first charge thakes along 12 hours to charge, to set the "memory" of the battery
Or probably the memory of the battery wore down
Actually they are the same that when they came out

I bought mine from Asda for a tenner with 4 batteries included, I think its a Uniross.
There are different batteries for different jobs so make sure you pick the right ones. Read all the labels. I keep two sets on the go. I also recharge over the Economy 7 period and it costs peanuts.
The first time you charge the batteries you have to charge them for longer, so always read the instructions before you start.

yeah its all about the batteries- not the charger. in the past couple of years they've changed a lot. make sure you buy rechargeable AAs that have at least 2200 or 2300mAh, and really you should just buy the 2500's. they're much better for digital cameras and todays electronic junk

Re zap do a digital charger fo AAA to pp9 size batteries of any kind normal batteries get 10 recharges on average
