I would only bareback with a partner in a monogamous relationship after we had tested negative 2 times at 6 month intervals.
I am not a fan of condoms, too tight, loss of sensation but I am not going to jeopardize my life for a little extra pleasure.

For sex a condom is essential equipment if one wants to maintain a health. And that is regardless of whether the sex is same-gender or opposite since HIV and a host of other nasty viruses and bactreria are spread through unprotected sexual contact.
