were doing something dumb in english and its searching this memoir called night based on the holocaust. trying to find the word Silent. In the whole book!

Yeah this is a dumb assignment but we concluded that the whole book Night has 41 forms of the word Silent. Interesting isnt it? We are on section 5 in the book, so yes we are reading it. Thanks for the answers.

I have to say, the assignment sounds a bit ridiculous to me, and from a teacher's point of view I don't get it, since it'll just encourage students to scan the text for that particular word rather than read the book. BUT, Elie Wiesel is fantastic and it's a great book -- I really hope you'll read it!

I read Night in one sitting...literally not getting out of my chair from beginning to end.
