No, I've never thought I had a handle on life and had it just break. I've always felt that my life was and is in God's hands, but that I've been entrusted with all I have, and that I've been entrusted to give back to God everyone and everything that I know God would best take care of, after I've recognized and seen evidence I best let go and let God do what's only in God's mysterious power. I believe God uses anyone or anything broken as a vessel to demonstrate what an opportunity it is for God to show God's realness and what God can do for anyone who so ever places faith in God.

Of course...we all have had our "handle" broken, or at least splintered, at some point...but it's your attitude about Life that determines your reaction, and course, that follows.

Yup. And crazy glue doesn't put it back together either! It takes work. I'm learning that as I get older.
