Easy. The web owners pay a search engine optimizer (SEO) to get their sites perfect and ready to hit the top of the page ranks. It is very easy if you know what your doing. Look for psychic ability under msn (Live Search) to see what I mean. (not bad out of 1.5 million like sites). It is only a young site and already in the top ten. Yahoo is next 163 then google.

Theres companies that will tweak your site to take advantage of Google's pagerank system. Sites get ranked up by the number of times they mention a word you searched for or by the number of people who searched for similar things and clicked on that site.. And no Google does not take bribes but it does sell ads as thats its business model. The sites that paid to be displayed are shown above your results and on the right hand side.
