No I won't back down
You can stand me up at the gates of hell
But I won't back down
I'll stand my ground, I won't be turned around
And I'll keep this world from draggin me down
gonna stand my ground
... and I won't back down
Well I know what's right, I got just one life
in a world that keeps on pushin me around
but I'll stand my ground
...and I won't back down
Tom Petty Lyrics... and i come pretty close to agreeing with him.... BUT sometimes, its just easier to give in to keep the peace....

Grassy's family marched with Martin Luther King during the Selma to Montgomery March. That should tell you something. They were down in the South doing voter registration to get the poor voters onto the voting rolls. The harassment and predjudice back then was thick and they put up with a lot of pain. So Grassy says hands his ground. The young today do not stand for much.

flexibility keeps peace, if by standing your ground; there will be peace then do it, if by the other way you need to give in to make peace its also good.

R U Bending or Being Broken?
Depends on if its a want or need? Wants you can compromise,
Needs, well then you have to stand your ground?
More specific questions lead to more specific answers.

Depends on what I stand to gain or lose.
At home with my wife, I have no choice but to give in (at least from her point of view, she can be tricked). She is the most stubborn woman that ever lived, but I love her.
