Heard Vista is 64 bit. Has it got varients of 32 bit? I saw Dell/HP saying 'vista ready' for their 32 bit powered laptop? Howz it Is it possible?

What about AMD Turion 64 X2. I think this can work with All Vista varients? I am right? Inputs regarding this are welcome .. ...

In that case if a person going for a system should prefer for AMD ... is this correct?

Both the Core 2 Duo and Turion 64 X2 are 64 bit capable, and Vista comes in both a 32 bit and 64 bit version, so really the only choice you have is whether you want 32 bits or 64, compatibility is not an issue. As for which to choose, the Core 2 Duos advantage over the Turion is not nearly as big as its desktop advantage over the Athlon is. Really it just is a matter of how much you wanna pay, the C2D is more expensive, and slightly faster.

All the computers that have a sign that they are vista-ready should be able to run Vista. the problem is that if after the vista install are strong enough to do all the workload that they were doing with XP. Windows Vista use a bigger space of the RAM and of the CPU. AMD Turion can work definately with vista.
My desktop is AMD and i really love it. The Athlons are really good and strong proccesors, adn as far as the price is concerned they have an obvious difference from the Pentiums. The Core DUO2 Proccesors should be really good and Athlon has not made a move in this field yet..
But for your question, i would prefer AMD..

Uhhhhh, the Core 2 Duo and the Turion 64 are both 64-bit processors. As far as processor choice, Intel is the clear winner right now, AMD can't touch the Core 2 Duos as far as speed and features.

Vista comes both 32-bits and 64-bits, and the amd 64 turion x2 its both a 32-bit and a 64-bit CPU, if you still wonder if its compatible you might want to use the vista advisor at : http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/getready/upgradeadvisor/default.mspx

Any processor will run anything 64 Bit based.

vista can easily run on both...as long as you have a lot of ram (1gig minimum)
