What ever happened to Sony making the Everquest movie?

It was announced quite awhile back a couple years ago I believe that they were going to be making a movie about Everquest...now I can't find anything on it...anyone know?

Lost in development... much like the proposed Magic the Gathering movie.

It was called The Lord of the Rings.

Just kidding, never heard of it, would be pretty neat though considering all the lore.
