It really depends on a number of factors including type of magazine, type of artical, content or artical, who wrote it, etc etc. Money recieved can be anywhere between $0 to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

It all depends on the actual magazine company, experience you may or may not have, education, amount of articles you write, magazine sales, the list goes on and on. But you might be lucky enough to receive a better estimate if you email one of the columnists directly.

It depends on if you are a full-time writer or what magazine you work for. I've often heard for freelance writers being paid by the word.

It depends. Some times they are on a salary,other times they get paid by the word. It depends on how well you can negotiate.If you have an ability to track down the important stories,write the truth,and convince someone to pay you for it. Sounds simple huh?
