no there isn't unfortunately. i think one of the reasons was a conflict between the director and the author of the series over the direction of the anime and also the fact that the anime had caught up to the manga.

they ended the show after the first season even though the conclusion of the season leaves room for another. however the manga continued up until recently if you want to know what happens to everyone.

I have not heard of a season 2. I wish they would make one. It's one of my favorite animes.
