You could organise an event at their school (i.e. a disco or ball that students could attend). This would probably raise a few hundred pounds.

Alternatively you could do what the scouts do and offer to help people pack their bags at the local supermarket in return for a bit of money ... I imagine most people would donate £1 or so to a good cause ... just say it is funds for the cadet group.

Thanks about all I can think of - hope it helps!

Taking kids away for a fun day out isn't going to get many people to put their hands in their pockets.. do you have funds that you use for other reasons? divert that into the Alton Tower fund and then raise money for new equipment or what ever..

but to answer your question our best fund raiser is a tombola.. where you get parents to donate bottles and unwanted presents and then you sell tickets to win them.. only numbers ending in 5's and 0's win - If you want to raise even more money you remove a few of the winning numbers (but don't anyone I told you that)

ive sat here thinkin about it and i cant actually think of anything except a bazaar where they can donate old stuff etc. raffle, cake stall, and say where the donations are going. you will be surprised how many will donate to a good cause :-)

Why not try a sponsored ab-sail?
