Why when we said illegal Immigrant right way we think about our neighbors to the south from Mexico?

I talked to alot people they think if you are hispanic/latino you are from mexico. according to the number there is a high percentage of people from central america, south america, asia, africa, europe, specially from filipines

Thats because most of the people that categorize immigrants dont know geography, history or havent been outside the US, any person that comes to this country that is not a citizen, is an immigrant, whether is legal or illegal. Sure lots of immigrants come from central and south america, but the majority come from europe, we just dont see them as immigrants, because their skin is white, we assume they're americans, is not like seeing a latino or oriental, where right away we know they came from somewhere else, bottomline is the true americans are indians.
