Her sons are putting on a memorial tribute next year for it being 10 years since her death. Is anyone on here planning on going?

I always felt pity rather than awe for her. Prince Charles-the-boor deceived her from the beginning with Camilla, flaunting his mistress.
Had they lived 200 years ago when divorce was not allowed, Diana would have kept her head high and lived a separate, sequestered life, ignoring her husband's unfaithfulness. She was a modern woman, though, and chose to leave when it was clear there was no possible reconciliation. Her indiscretions can be almost completely blamed on Charles' disdain for the sanctity of their marriage and the abysmal lack of support from her mother in law.

No, I am not entranced with Diana, though her sons are to be commended for remembering her in such a lovely way and for recalling the sparkle she brought to the royal family. It will be amusing to see how Camilla reacts.

I am not plannig to attend the concert but I do support the idea. I would like to point out that she was highly manipulative woman- She had an affair BEFORE charles did (where did Harry get that fiery hair colour from?) as she well admitted. She was a messed up woman and NOONE in the royal family wanted her dead.

When she was alive, I didn't really pay any attention to her! She is just another person. Just like movies starts. The blood that ran through her veins is made of the same components as what runs in our veins! Its rather disgusting if you ask me the way they idolize people!

Absolutely no way. I find the whole thing pretty creepy and mawkish. I didn't really like her when she was alive, but the way her life has been picked over since she died is vile.

Nope. I'm not planning on going or watching it on TV. A lot of time has passed, just let her rest in peace.

diane is a forgotten icon in my mind, until someone brings the subjecct up.

Cool, dianna was clearly not numbered with royalty, and i believe it was a true HOMICIDE. by someone within the family.

Too bad she got killed. Aside from that I could care less.
