I consider death the beginning of a new "life" so that would mean no to the first part of your question; as to the second part it gets more complicated, I believe that when you die you have something in store next so if you killed time on this Earth productively and in a good way, what comes afterwards is the end of all of your troubles, if you killed it in the opposite way it is just the beginning of them.

I consider it to be both the end of this life and the end of this life's troubles, I don't think it will be the end of ME though.
