"Mearl" isn't as bad as many names I have seen in my years as a teacher. I have to go through many, many records of kids, even though they may not be my kids.
I have seen (and I'm really not kidding)
LaDoctor and LaNursa (twins)
LemonJello and OranJello (brothers)
Semen and WeiWei (Brother and Sister from Hong Kong)
Torso and Ankle (pronounced An-KLEE) (Brother and sister)
There are others that escape me right now. But when I was a brand new teacher, I really thought some one put those names in my files just to tease me.
