A friend of mine wants to bet that the Giants will go further in the playoffs than the Jets. Do you take this bet? (Obviously - if the 2 teams go out the same week.....which I probably find the most likely scenario (i.e. Week 1) the bet is a push)........so - assume the 2 teams don't go out the same week....which one has the better shot of going further?

The Jets are a better team, but the Giants have a better chance of going farther since they are going up against weaker teams.
Like for example.. I think the Giants have a better chance beating the Eagles, then the Jets do the Pats.
But both teams head to head I would go with the Jets by a TD.

I'd go for the Jets. New Englnad is not at the glorious state of football that they once were, they almost lost the division to the Jets who beat them at home earlier in the season. I think the Jets are hungrier and playing well. The Giants are not playing as well and Philly is hot. I don't fully believe in the Jeff Garcia magic that the Eagles are running on but I do think Philly gets the win this week. The Jets are in the perfect position for an upset and more of a chance of winning than the Giants do.

Is a fact in New York and New Jersey that the Jets are second class citizens.Same with the Mets and Yankees.However,this time the Jets are much better.They have some power full weapons.Pride.A real couch.Young,strong,smart.Chad could be no very good,but Manning is mediocre.So,the Jets will be a the top.Just for now.Perhaps for one day they will be,First Class Citizens.

stick with the giants they have a less surmountable task at hand in defeating the eagles. The jets wont get past the Pats so they're out while the giants have a good shot of going to at least round 2.

NFC is obviously weaker and even though the Jets are a much better team, I honeslty think the G-Men have a better shot at advancing.

The giants had it going for themselves early on, but really fell apart down the stretch and basically backed into the playoffs. I'm guessing they'll both lose in the first round, but I would love to see the patriots get spanked.
