Can someone tell me why is it that when some young women or girls become pregnant why do they squeeze into clothes they know they can't fit. And all you see is the stomach and everything else hanging out.

I think it's because our generation is SO obessed with being "fat" (even when they weigh 110 lbs) that buying maternity or larger clothes just isn't cool and they feel fat. I know we had a girl in the mail room at my office who wore regular clothes until they day she left to deliver and looked HORRIBLE! They were all stretched out and pants were like spandex on her. She would have looked so much classier and better in nice maternity pants and either a maternity shirt or a large sized shirt. I know pregnant bellies are beautiful and great....but more for you and your husband to enjoy than your workplace!

I really don't know but there is a lot of girl who like to squeeze into those clothes that you know they know it really looks bad. i am 22 weeks pregnant and all i want to do is feel comfortable and those tight clothes do not get it. maybe some of them will read this and look at themselves and say they are talking about me and will change.

I don't know - seems uncomfortable. I put on maternity clothes as soon a I needed them because the others were just too tight. It was a relief. Now - to answer your question, there was a show, I think Oprah, where some designer said that wearing tight clothes would make them look smaller. I'm with you. Bad idea!
Just try not to look. ;)

Why on earth should it bother anyone but the wearer? After all, it's that person's body. I personally think it's either that they can't afford maternity clothes, which can be expensive, or that they are proud of their bump and anxious to show it off. If they don't look so nice doing it, it's their problem, not anyone else's.

Maybe they think it's 'cute' or something. Maybe they can't afford expensive maternity clothes. Maybe they are having a hard time with their changing bodies. Just my guess. I personally couldn't wait to start wearing maternity clothes. They are so comfortable, and very stylish these days!

denial. It is hard to accept sometimes that you are growing and you can't fit into your old clothes. Can be kind of depressing. Whats worse are those same girls who try to diet during pregnancy for that reason!

they got pregnant because all they knew how to do is "being sexy", and there is no way they are about to stop doing that and become responsible now is there!
