Awesome trade for the Red Sox but obviously it'll never happen. Firstly Manny is now a 10/5 so can choose where he's traded and would not go to St. Louis and secondly, Jon Lester is not being traded anytime in the near future as he battles his condition, for which we all wish him well.
Also Albert has a full NTC and whilst he would probably wave it, I see no reason why the Cards would ever consider this trade.
Look at the money, if Manny agreed to waive his 10/5 agreement he'd probably want both his options picked up, so that means Manny gets $80m over 4 years whereas Albert has 9 years left at $10m per.
That means Albert is $10m a year less and locked up for five more years, please tell me why St. Louis would even consider this deal?

It would be a great trade for the Red Sox. But why would St. Louis ever think about trading Pujols? He is younger and an MVP candidte for the next 10 years (barring injury). Right now he is better than Manny and not as volitile. Also Lester is recovering from cancer, I cant see a deal like this getting done.

No.
Manny is a headcase with two years left on his contract and is defensively inept to play in the NL where he couldn't move to DH in a few years and Lester is still unprovne.
Pujols is locked down to a solid contract and easily the best right-handed hitter in the game. He plays a position the Red Sox have been looking to fill and one that the Cardinals could not fill with his loss.
Awful trade...Boston would be ROBBING the Cards blind!

The Cardinals would not do it. The organization and the fans love Pujols too much.
In addition to that, the Cardinals don't need another left fielder dropping and misjudging fly balls. Chris Duncan has that taken care of.

It would be good for Boston if they could pull it off. Being an Astros' fan, I know it would also be good for Houston because Pujols is an Astro killer.

No for the Cards and Yes for the Sox.
Sox get rid of their knuckleheaded OF.
Cards get rid of their post season invisible man, and he can goto the Fens to juice up and knock the ball out of the bandbox.

It would be a good trade for Boston.
Pujols is younger and more versitle. I don't think the Cards would even think about making this deal.
