You shouldn't give your baby any drugs that won't save it's life.

Prozac is an antidepressant. They numb you. Ever take it? You become very aggitated because it stops you from feeling. I know people on that garbage... where they were a little meloncholy because they had no one to blame for their screw ups but themselves before prozac, now they are certifiable, nasty, unfeeling hell spawn. Some have even become violent... That is a very common side effect of antidepressants, by the way.

It's not for babies, and who ever suggested that you put your baby on it should be shot to death.

Besides... most forms of depression can be eliminated by making changes in the diet. Hydrogenated oils cause depression, cane sugar causes depression, aspartame causes depression.... try doing it God/natures way first, then if all else fails, get him drugless therapy.

A child's condition changes too rapidly to put them on so powerful a drug so soon... And if you don't, the childs condition may improve by adolecence. If you do drug them, you just screw them up even worse, and they never get better. They never learn to adjust to changes in their lives, or learn how to control their emotions, or modify their behavior to acheive the desired outcome. They just wander through life with an excuse to behave badly. You can't diagnose a baby for depression anyhow? Who told you to do this? My God!

Do some research first. Pharmacutical companies want to sell drugs, they don't give a damn if they hurt us, and they are the ones that train our MD's. There is no silver bullet produced by these companies that will make it all better. They just lie to you and tell you they will. See a nutritianist or Homeopathic Dr. first.

Don't numb your child to the effects of the world, teach them to control themselves, appreciate and embrace their feelings and live a good life without drugs.

babies cry for a reason!!
babies cry alot because they have not developed the skills to speak
how would you like to be hungry or wet or tired and not be able to verbally tell someone of that fact

Not EVEN going to waste my time on this. Why don't you call Child Services and ask THEM if it is okay to give your baby prozac! I'm sure they would LOVE to talk to you!
