You may as well get 802.11G as it's much faster and backward compatible.

All ya need is a Linksys wireless router and a broadband connection (which I assume you already have).
There are many many different types of makes and models of wireless routers offered by Linksys, so just go to their website and pick one that offers 802.11B. Most of them are around $50.

I would go with the much newer and much faster 802.11G standard for wireless.
Pick up a router and a wireless card (either a usb, pci, or pcmcia (for laptops))
I would stay away from the 802.11N standard for now, its still new and I would give it a while for the industry to get the bugs worked out both hardware and software.
