I think of myself as a sheet of cellophane or a roll of celltape.
I often get the feeling I'm not a very noticable kind of person. People rarely miss me and my words rarely carry weight. People only miss me when I am of any use. ( Like a roll of tape that is left anywhere anyhow and is hunted for when needed...)
This particular connection is inspired from the movie Chicago, in which the much negelcted loser husband of Roxie Hart describes himself as Mr. Cellophane in a sad little song. The Character( and myself!!!) have another thing in common with cellophane... naive, transparent and willingly take a lot of abuse from people they love...
Incidentally, I was thinking of having my user name on Y!A as Mr. Cellophane...

A Paint Brush
When I was fresh and new I painted the world with color.
As time moves forward I am a bit frayed and paint a little crooked as the bristles are starting to come loose from the ferrel and I look used with all the tiny bits of color on my handle. I am still able to paint but not the sharp detailed areas of life. I am now setting in the paintbox I am pulled out often to scrub up or fix an area of the canvas that a fresh and new brush might of missed. I look like crap but I am still used ,as a good brush is always hard to throw away. And I smile!!!!

A book. Because: 1) I seem like any other "book" on the shelf, 2) I can be full of useless, or useful, information and 3) You never know what you'll find inside until you open me up and take a look.

The wind, though it is not much of an 'object'. It is free, uncontainable, and seems to defy what is seemingly solid laws of the universe. In many ways, it reminds me of God's power, and the amount of trust I put in him.

I am a composite of lions and tigers and bears
I soar like an eagle, and swim like a fish
I am faithful and honest, thrifty and daring
I am me and I belong to my wife
And she is she and belongs to me!
