What makes for a good driver?
I vote for courteousness, many accidents are avoided by being courteous.
While I have had speeding tickets, and a few minor accidents (in 28 years of driving), I always give people a break and hopefully prevent someone from doing something stupid.

Hmmm... good driver.... that woudl be a question that i'd have to answer on a day by day basis.... somedays... i am... somedays i'm the best driver around. and then other days you'd swear my brain was removed.... (thoes are the days i try to drive as little as i possibly can) and then there are the most frequent days wehre yea i'm a good driver but i do slip a little bit depending on teh choices other drivers make, and they flow of traffic... etc... so over all i gues si'd ahve to say I CAN be a good driver :D

I drove a truck with a trailer 4m wide in the military. These days I work for DHL and drive a 17 trailer. Scania is the shi.t.

Yes I am a very good WOMAN driver!
I only drive small to medium sized cars though!!!!!!!!
Tractor trailer drivers grin when they see me on the interstate...one in front, two along side and one behind me once when I had a little blue Chevy Sprint! I was like...get away from me. and scooted over as far as I could! Yeah heeheehee now!

I'd like to think that I am. I have been in 3 accidents in my life but all caused by the other driver. I am a bit heavy on the gas though. lol

No way. when I was in the academy even the instructors (some of my states finest at the time) refused to get in the car to teach me the driving course. One brave soul finally did, I think he's still in the Mental Institution.
As for me I'm still wrecking cars, but hey it's fun.

I believe i am. If i must talk on my phone, it is with an earpiece.
I'm the guy who always has to swirve to avoid the idiot who is coming into my lane without a signal or checking their blind spot.
Only 1 accident in 13 years of driving; and it was i who got rear-ended at a red light.

Well good for you Mark C. And I think I am a good driver, my hubby on the other hand thinks I get to close to the white line. And speaking of I have to get my license re-newed today.

Time will tell if you are a good driver, lack of citations, accidents, insurance rates are indicators of this. I had my first speeding ticket after 27 years of driving!
