A fan all my life.

Born/raised in the Buffalo, NY area, and now a Midwest transplant.

I still follow the Sabres thanks to DirecTV and the Center Ice package.

Go Buffalo!

Very much so! I live in Dallas, TX and live and breathe hockey. I work at the Dallas Stars practice facility and have season tickets. I haven't missed a home game for the last three seasons. Obviously the Stars are my team through think and thin, but I'll watch any game I can. If the Stars aren't playing, I'll go to a Texas Tornado game (NAHL). I'm around hockey all the time and I know around my part of town, hockey is a big deal. The Dr. Pepper StarCenter is full of young players and we get new ones every day!

I've also got my tickets to the 2007 NHL All-Star Game. Can't tell you how excited I am that all eyes will be on Dallas in a couple weeks. It's nice to be acknowledged enough to host an All-Star game. The buzz has started already.. It's going to be a great week!

I am an American, and an avid hockey fan. My favorite team will always be the New York Rangers. They have won 4 Stanley Cups in 1928, 1933, 1940, and their last in 1994, which was a great year. I am a huge fan of Mark Messier, and Brian Leetch. I also like Mike Richter, and Adam Graves. I was able to see the Rangers retire Richter's as well as Messier's numbers being retired. I am not from Long Island or New Jersey. So that, and along with my favorite players that I have mentioned, is why I am a lifelong, Ranger fan.

Well, speaking from the "Great White North" of the upper midwest, yeah, the NHL is cool.
The game has changed a great deal in the past 20 years.
I miss the days of Wayne Gretsky, Paul Coffey, and the high flying Edmonton Oilers. I loved the 7-5 wide open style of play.
Todays game? Techincally sound, but too much nuetral ice trapping.
My favorite team is the Minnesota Wild.
Marion Gaborik and Brian Rolston are guys I always keep my eye on when they're on the ice.

Oilers. When they are on their game, their youth and speed is unmatchable. We have the most offensive defense(gilbert, souray, visnovsky) , Hemsky, the Kid Line. We just need Cole to produce. If Jordan Eberle can carry his skill into the NHL next year, this team will be even better Wanna watch a great game? Battle of Alberta on New Years Eve. 8 pm mst (27 hours from now) (agreeing with the person who wrote this)

Yes some do. My favorite team are the Boston Bruins. But the game has changed, the new rules have really softened the league, there's no more hitting and physical play. Look at the seats the next time you watch on TV, there's no one there. The league has lots of problems. Not getting the TV contract on ESPN has really hurt as well. They have VS now lol

I may be wrong but I feel many Americans can not relate to hockey as they never played it when they were young. They did not have outdoor ice in the winter. Perhaps if all hockey teams had cheerleaders, tailgate parties and a few players named Bubba it would sell better. Maybe they should have a blue line to follow the puck after a shot. It is hard to compete with such intelligent shows as reality tv, Monster trucks rolling over and "Professional" rasslin'

Yes, I've been a season ticket holder with the Columbus Bluejackets since year 1. I think you have more of a following in the northern states where people actually know what winter is. I still have a huge problem with having 2 teams in Florida......how many freakin games of shinny have been played in Florida?!? Im willing to say NONE! People in the south cant relate to hockey because theyve never had a chance to play it. In Florida, there's millions of things for them to be doing instead of being at a hockey game....golf, tennis, baseball, football, the ocean, on and on.

A lot of Americans do care. Since the Coyotes moved to Phoenix hockey has gotten huge here in the desert. We even had a kid drafted a couple of years ago. I like the Pens, I grew up in Pittsburgh and the Coyotes, now live in Arizona.

Living in Michigan it is HUGE. I personally am not a fan but it is all anybody at work talks about. Of course around here everyone are Red Wings fans. I enjoy going and watching a game live but T.V. can't keep up with the action so I don't watch it.

I like to watch the exciting teams or players.. So i like the penguins. between sid 'the kid' crosby and evgeni malkin, these two make for a great performance. Sidney Crosby is leading in points well above everyone else, not to mention he is 19 years old.. 19!
