The bare minimum: mascara and eyeliner, and lipstick in medium to light shades. If you don´t have a perfect skin, wear foundation. Some subtle blush works too, as this makes you look alive.
But even if you prefer to look always the same way, remember that changing is everything, even wearing shadows to the job.
Match colors to your wardrobe...

I used to think eyeliners and eye shadows were the way to go. I loved lilacs and flashy greens. But they can often look heavy-handed in office light and be distracting. You can look just as gorgeous, if not more, with three items. Eyebrow pencil (used to only lightly fill in your brow), mascara (use an eyelash curler first) and undereye concealer. The concealer goes on better if you use a little eye cream first under your eye. So I guess that's really five things. My favorite brands? Estee Lauder eyebrow pencil (you can place their lipliner on the other side of the wand, which is also excellent) -- Mabelline mascara (why pay more?) -- and Prescriptives concealer (worth the money, it doesn't cake and crease like the others and the department store salesperson guides you to choose just the right color for you).

Look professional (at least at the office), then watch out for that promotion and raise.

I would suggest a black liner or brown. These make your eyes look really intense. Suggest a nice sheer white or light pink color for the eyelid first and then use your eyeliner color. Only apply your eyeliner along the eyelash lid on top and go down to the side corners. I suggest not to put any on the bottom lids because it woulld look to much. When you put on your mascara, you can apply the bottom eyelashes a little more to compensate for the deeper color on the top. Covergirl and Revelon always have some really good shimmery colors that are very professional looking.

For office (please) go with more natural colors. Avoid anything blue or bright. Earth tones and natural colors work best for your color tones. Go with a soft green or light brown. Bare essentials are good brands if they are used lightly and applied properly. They show you how to put them on which helps.
If you care enough to ask I'm sure you will do a good job. It's usually the people that don't ask that look like monsters in the office. Good luck.
Stay soft and light in color. Use moderation when you apply. I'm sure you'll look great.

I believe that Almay has a line of eye make-up that is designed specifically for certain eye colors, such as hazel is a black eyeliner and pink/brown eyeshadow (very light in color). I use that for work.
