It would most likely have reached the point of not being edible on September 17, 1986 at 4:29 p.m. (moon time).

Maybe I'm wrong here but wouldn't the solar radiation from the sun bombard anything on the surface, so even a Hostess Twinkie would become radioactive over time, and a person couldn't be sure of how radiation would react with the preservatives in the Twinkie, so i can't say for sure but I'm guessing it wouldn't be edible any more.

I should have thought that it would be well and truly melted by now given that noon temps on the Moon can exceed 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
Also Solar radiation unimpeded by an atmosphere will destroy just about anything in a few hours. You and I without a space suit would be dead in seconds apart from the fact we couldn't breath and we would explode in a vacuum such as exists on the Moon.

Twinkies were barely edible in 1969, so it's not likely.

i think so. with no air to support life, the bacteria that eat and destroy would not be able to damage said twinkie. that being said, would you be the first person to take a bite out of it? i wouldnt. that thing has got to be permanantly frozen by now. but then again if you let it thaw, i guess it would be kind of like the vacuum sealing they use now anwho.

I'm afraid not. It wasn't edible to start off with. And all the water and volatile oils would have evaporated. It would be as hard as a rock.

Yes you would still be able to eat it because there is no air and the freezing cold temperatures would freeze it solid but the hot temps in the day would thaw it.

He could have left it in his gym locker and it would still be edible. Do those things ever expire?!

yes- no bacteria or microbes to make it go bad. not that it would go bad anyway with all the preservatives in a twinkie.
