The fact that you can see them means that their light is reaching the earth.

Our sun is the only star that provides any significant illumination to the Earth. Other stars do create light though, however small and unnoticeable it may be, it can be measured. But its not enough to light up anything, if thats what your asking.

Stars give enough light to look pretty at night and for ships and planes to navigate by. But there is no useful energy to be had from them because they are so far away.

the light from other stars does reach earth (otherwise we wouldn't see them) but they do not provide enough light for human beings to really see by, or enough to support photosynthesis.
