We all know its a mark and signifies the beast but why 666, why not 777 !

It isn't though it is called the number of the beast. It depends on who's translation of the old writing you use. I love to see how people react when it come up on a cash register. "Oh, my gosh, I just bought $6.66 worth of cigarettes! I had better buy a lighter, cause that is an unlucky number "

Its actually 661 and the whole 666 this was a mis-translation.
It all started with the book of revelation in the New Testament stating that this was the mark of the beast and no-one can trade or live without it and it is the number of a man. The number is...
This is obviously linked to the Jewish Mystical form of Gematria in which every letter is given a number and the numbers are added up. Every phrase that had the same numerical value has a relationship. It's complicated, but interesting.
No-one knows whether revelation was supposed to be about the near or far future. Modern scholars think it was more about kicking the Romans out than the end of the World!

the Gods have a strange numbering system, 111 is plants, 222 is insects, 333 small animals, 444 flying animals, 555 big animals or humans,(lycans are in between humans and demons) 666 demons, 777 angels, 888 Gods 999 the Creator being or an energy being.

Why not 666? If it were 777, when someone would be asking the same question about that. It is probably because 664 and 668 are his neighbors. :-P

Because Jesus is 7 or 777 since numbers in three's are more signigficant. God is 9 since that is the most complete single digit number.

666 stands for satan's return at the 6th seal, the 6th vial. and the 6th trump.
the #7 in biblical numerics means spiritual completeness. since CHRIST is perfect, he returns at the 7th trump. i know of no number 777 in the bible.

7 is one of the numbers that represents Perfection. 6 would be less than perfect. And it's not the # for Satan (the beast is Not Satan)... it's the general # for Mankind in general. The Beast is "Gov't" in general.

In the original Roman numerals, it was a countdown, 500, 100, 50, 10, 5, 1. Translated into English, I think it looses something, but that is just my opinion.
