Any good antivirus software will do that for you. There are a few free ones out there.

Ignore the advice to dump IE. IE has vulnerabilities but Windows has far more that are not dependent upon IE. And even if you don't use IE, there's no way to remove it completely from your machine so an IE vulnerability can cause problems even if you don't use it. And don't forget that Firefox has had its share of vulnerabilities as well. Lastly, I'd be suspicious of any Firefox download that wasn't from the Firefox site! Don't click on that link, it may be dangerous!
