It is completely down to the Governor but he/she will get reports from a lot of places. I don't think the Probation Officer is one though. Will he be lliving where you are? Have they been in touch with you to make sure he will be living there? With only 3 weeks to go he should know by now whether he is getting it or not. I think it's something like 6 weeks before release that they decide.

There's nothing worse than being knocked down when you're waiting for news like this but I'd be prepared for it. If his mum hasn't heard anything and he hasn't either then I would not expect him to be released in 3 weeks.

The governor makes a decision on whether to release him based on risk of reoffending, likelihood of coming into contact with the victim of his crime, home circumstances, behaviour while in custody etc. Whether the decision is favourable or not he really should have been told by now.

Once he has his probation hearing they will then determine when and if he is eligible for probation. Many times a person is not released until months after their scheduled probation date. This is a sit and wait game. Even though I'm not sure of the specific rules and regulations for the facility where he is at, chances are, you are just going to have to be patient.

My husband is in prison and most inmates are not released on their parole/probation date. We have a saying "Plan for the worse and hope for the best".

These things can be frustrating but be patient. There is not a lot you can do. Its all down to the prison now. His date could either be moved back or be earlier. If they are saying 26th Jan, it very well may be this date. I once went out with someone who was sentenced to 6 months but after 3 he was allowed out. The process seemed to take forever but that was only because I missed him. In reality it wasn't that long at all. Bear with it and you will be with him in no time.

My companion has been in the same subject, whilst your boyfriend would be rejected for HDC (that's amazingly likley) he can attraction this selection. The attraction would be in abode, comments on his behavious from the guards will settle for to the governor and the alternative will lie with him in spite of if to permit your boyfriend out on tag. somewhat the appropriate suggestion i supplies you is so which you would be able to tell your companion to maintain his head down, refer to human beings yet dont make buddies and be well mannered to the guards, it is going a protracted way from what I even have been advised and that they're going to manage him a lot greater advantageous. in the experience that your boyfriend can try this i don't see why he wouldnt be granted HDC.

Looks like your best bet would be to get an attorney. If you can't afford that then look into getting a public defender but they don't seem to do as well. My guess is because they get paid either way, so theres not much incentive to win the case for you.

There is time to go. Start to be concerned when he has not been granted this privilege one day before he is permitted to benefit from it.

If you cannot do the time, do not do the crime. If he had one jot or tittle of care for you, he would not be banged up.

Tough on your birthday. Very tough. Good. It is payback time for us who obey the law. The lot on you, mate. You deserve no sympathy.
