poor countries do... so what. of course they do those countries are poor . they also go to europe. The nationalists always compare to US to the lowest and poorest countries to illustrate its greatness. You dont european, australians, canadians, Italians or other "1st" world copuntries dying to get here do you?

Well, you know what? Having lived in Germany also, people there are "dying" to live here also. They just aren't as willing to sacrifice everything to get here because they have a bit more.
The truth is, the United States offers more opportunities than virtually any other country on Earth. In most countries, even Europe, you still have so many things holding you back from achieving a level of success attainable here. Economic opportunity and self-determination which one finds here keep people coming from India, Africa and all over the world.
It's not just a myth or a saying, the U.S. is the land of opportunity.

People from all over the world come to America for freedom and opportunity. They also go to other countries. I think the USA still gets the largest numbers by far.

It's referred to because it's a fact. People from countries all over the world want to come to the USA for the freedom and opportunity we offer.

I find very few, if any, true Nationalists on Y*A. I haven't heard anyone who wants our country to become totally independent of other countries. Most people enjoy the benefits of global trade, vacationing abroad, etc.
