Is this an early sign of paralysis?

Earlier this morning, I accidentally tore a big gash, about 3 inches long, very close to my spine. Now, I'm getting shivering sensations and my left side feels crampy and my fingers and toes are twitching slightly. Is this an early sign of paralysis, or am I just being a hypochondriac?

Probably not, but for goodness sake get to an emergency room. Those symptoms are not something to ignore. Neither is a gash that would cause such symptoms.

go to the er and let them do an xray.. you may have torn some ligaments
