First of all, Leon Klinghoffer was an elderly wheelchair bound man. He probably couldn't say or do much. Maybe Abu Nidal denied him is medicine so that he might have been ill anyways before they shot him in the head and threw him overboard.
It is hard to put yourself in the shoes of a terrorist in the first place.
No I wouldn't have hijacked the Achille Lauro in the first place.
On the other hand, what about Saddam giving the leader of the hijacking (Abu Nidal) safe haven in Iraq.
