Um..... a car battery? Have you been making your own custom setup? Typically, only large commercial grade UPS's can be hardwired to "car batteries". A UPS charging circuit is built to deliver a certain charge to a battery in need. It's is measured in amp-hours, or milliamp-hours. Connecting any old battery to the UPS is playing roulette, as the battery to be charged could toast the charging circuit. It depends on the overcurrent or current regulation design of the UPS. In any case, 8 minutes to charge full ANY car battery that's been drained for 2 hours is an unlikely happening, and I encourage you to only use the recommended battery type that came with your UPS... unless a replacement UPS is in your budget.

As recommended by another user, APC is a great company making reliable UPS equipment. Most all of their products have a PC interface such that you can monitor the UPS's readiness and ability. This interface also monitors the amount of power remaining in the battery, and advises when you're approaching "empty" such that you can shut down prior to. Better versions even give you a "time left" calculation based on real time current draw vs. battery voltage.

I think, UPS charges to the Battery will depend on some points like capacity of battery charging with time ( this depends on quality of charging material as capacitors), better quality, Battery charging time duration. for full charging for the battery inside will take around 8-10 hours. So if you charge only 2 hrs then it can run to your PC around 10-12 min. I can suggest you to purchase for top branded UPS Products as Riello-UPS company.

You must charge the battery all time possible. Otherwise it affects the battery of the UPS

It's almost okay! It should back up for 15 minutes usually for a new standard UPS.
